I’ve said from the beginning that I’m not HUGE into shipping, I just want things to play out in the way that works best for the STORY. All of you saying “IT’S OKAY, MAKORRA CAN STILL HAPPEN!!” after this episode.. you’re completely missing the point. Korra is realizing that yes, she still does…

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]Have I mentioned what a huge fan of chongthenomad I am? Because I’m pretty sure I’ve been listening to her ATLA/Korra mixes on repeat for like a week straight and I have NO REGRETS, whatsoever. She is incredible and she is my hero. Her newest mix is a remake of “Leaves From The Vine,” the song that Iroh sings to his son’s grave in the original series, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It didn’t have any vocals, so I thought I’d add some — I hope I didn’t ruin the beauty of its simplicity! Hope you guys enjoy it. :)
Leaves from the vine
Falling so slow
Like fragile, tiny shells
Drifting in the foam
Little soldier boy
Come marching home
And brave soldier boy
Comes marching homeAnd seriously, though — go listen to the rest of Chong’s mixes… NOW. ♥
(Also, you should definitely consider listening to this with headphones. Just saying.)

So, my parents are into LOK and they’re both researchers and detail oriented. Together, they make an amazing investigative pair. Over the course of the first five episodes, they came to a conclusion that Amon is Tarrlok, mostly due to his voice. Thinking back, Tarrlok and Amon do sound similar…
When my mother, in a moment of half-joking passion, suggested that Tarrlok was Amon I shook my head and laughed at her. I had originally thought that it would be much too obvious for an antagonist like Tarrlok to be Amon. After going over his actions in the episodes in my head however, I realize that it’s absolutely not obvious. He’s actually one of the last people I would have expected at this point.
I am rethinking my entire life now. Rethinking EVERYTHING IN KORRA.
